The internet has provided us with a plethora of guided meditations, and a bit like Netflix on a Friday night, I spend more time searching for the meditation I want, than I do meditating. I have compiled a handy list of useful, tried and tested, free to access guided meditations to help with your searching!
Sleep Guided Meditation (Spoken) for sleeping, deep relaxation (with rain & fire sounds) hypnosis by Jason Stephenson
Jason Stephenson’s guided meditations are often my first port of call when I want to unwind. This calming 22 minute spoken meditation and 25 minute comforting rainfall and crackling fire sound effects helps you drift off in to a peaceful sleep.
Can’t Sleep 1 – Hello available on Buddhify
If the age-old trick of counting sheep doesn’t work for you, try the ‘Hello’ meditation on Buddhify. This gentle, slow paced, short meditation encourages you to say a simple ‘hello’ to your thoughts, acknowledging them rather than exploring them, to help distract your mind from over-thinking.
